Collated questions from Scottish organisations, including the ALLIANCE, for UK and Scottish Governments
The ALLIANCE is pleased to see the launch of Asking some important questions: a collation of Scottish civil society questions for UK and Scottish Governments after UK withdrawal from the European Union (this link will take you away from our website)
The ALLIANCE contributed to the report, which was coordinated and written by Human Rights Consortium Scotland(this link will take you away from our website) and the Scottish Universities Legal Network on Europe (SULNE) (this link will take you away from our website) as part of their partnership Civil Society Brexit Project, funded by The Legal Education Foundation.
The report is a collation of different questions around the future of the third sector following Brexit, raised by various contributor organisations including the ALLIANCE. Whilst we share many common concerns, organisations have contributed in their area of expertise and the whole of the report does not necessarily represent their views.
Irene Oldfather, ALLIANCE Director of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement says:
‘When we spoke with communities across Scotland about the anticipated impact of Brexit within our series of ‘Town Hall’ conversations in 2018, uncertainty about the future was a dominant theme. This new report highlights that, 3 years on, there remains uncertainty about the third sectors’ networks, funding and relationships and how that will impact communities at local level. The expansive list of questions in this report mark important areas for further discussion and clarity’
