Third Rethinking Remote Conference confirmed

Rethinking Remote 2022. Innovative solutions for remote and rural health and wellbeing. 28th and 29th April 2022. MacDonald Aviemore Resort. https://www.rethinkingremote.co.uk/

The Conference will be held in Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands on 28th and 29th April 2022.

Hosted by the Scottish Rural Health Partnership, it seeks to foster sharing of solutions to the many challenges of providing health care to remote and rural communities worldwide.

Conference themes are disaster planning and pandemics, community engagement, emergency management and pre-hospital care, education and professional support, technology and new this year Disaster Planning and Pandemics.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Prof Trish Greenhalgh, Professor of Primary Care Research, University of Oxford
  • Dr Rikard Moen, Chair Faculty of Remote, Rural & Humanitarian Healthcare, RCSEd
  • Dr Steve Bain, Dean of College of Education & Human Performance, Texas A&M University
  • Adrian Smith, Director digitalHEALTH SENSE
  • Dr Sarah Chalmers, President, Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
  • Pam Dudek, CEO, NHS Highland

There is also a call for abstracts, around the five themes of the Conference, that showcase research, service development, international perspectives and multi-agency working. The closing date for submissions is 1 February 2022.
