Third Digital Call to Action launched

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) has announced its third Call to Action for a digitally confident voluntary sector.
“Catalysed huge digital changes”
SCVO reflects on the changes to the Scottish voluntary sector since 2018 and what must be achieved to keep progressing with digital.
It highlights the rapid nature of these changes and the pressures and challenges that this has brought. It calls on the sector to learn from the pandemic, and to take the best parts of digital strategy and practice seen during this time.
“Everyone gets digital”
“Everyone gets digital” is SCVO’s ambition for the Scottish voluntary sector and it has outlined five goals to achieve this vision.
- It’s for everyone.
- Be canny investors.
- Digital capability is embedded and happening everyday.
- Skills are critical and constantly evolving.
- Secure by design.
Ask to funders and support organisations
The report includes a call to funders and support organisations. Many organisations are still struggling with the basic aspects of digital. SCVO highlights how investors must work collaboratively to understand digital development needs, rather than pushing innovation for the sake of innovation.
