Coming Home Implementation Report roundtable discussion
The recently published Coming Home Implementation Report has caused concern for people with disabilities, their families, and disability organisations. Chief Officer of Development at the ALLIANCE, Sara Redmond, speaks with a panel of experts on how the report signals yet another failure of the system to meaningfully change the culture within it. It is seen by some as another opportunity lost to ensure that individuals can be given the necessary provision to ensure they can live in their own communities. The panel also discusses the actions which can still be taken to reassure citizens that change is happening.
Menopause and Sexual Wellbeing – Women’s Health at the Centre series
The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) in partnership with the Scottish Government, hosted a webinar on menopause, sexual wellbeing and relationships. To explore this topic further we were joined by Dr. Claire Macaulay, menopause sex and relationship expert and oncologist. Through this relaxed and informal session, Claire discussed what is happening during the menopause that can cause changes in people’s bodies and sex lives, treatment options to alleviate pain and discomfort, body confidence, having open conversations with partners and how we can find pleasure.
