Digital Shoots is a Scotland-wide initiative designed to support women who are currently underrepresented in entrepreneurship and innovation
The Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI) supports innovation that improves health, wellbeing and care across Scotland. DHI is inviting organisations that support women in health, social care and local communities to help shape Digital Shoots, a new programme designed to help women explore innovation and entrepreneurship. Join one of our FREE interactive stakeholder workshops in Glasgow or Aberdeen to share your insights and help ensure the programme is accessible, relevant and reaches the women who could benefit most.
What is Digital Shoots?
Digital Shoots is a new free programme for women across Scotland who are interested in improving health, care and wellbeing in their communities. It is designed for women who may not normally take part in business or enterprise programmes – including care workers, unpaid carers, migrant women and others with experience of providing or receiving care. Through practical workshops, mentoring and peer support, Digital Shoots will help participants explore opportunities to make a positive difference in health and care.
How will women benefit from Digital Shoots?
- Build confidence and learn practical skills to help turn ideas into real solutions.
- Get support from experienced mentors and learn from others on a similar journey.
- Meet and connect with other women who are interested in improving health and care.
- Learn about the support, funding and opportunities available to help develop ideas further.
- Take part in a programme designed to be accessible and inclusive, with flexible learning options and practical support where needed.
- Leave more ready to develop an idea, start a project, or play a more active role in how digital can be used and ultimately how innovation can help improve health and care services.
Why we’re asking for your input
We want to work with organisations that understand the challenges, aspirations and experiences of the women we hope to reach. Your insight will help us design a programme that meets real needs and removes barriers to participation.
About the Glasgow event
Join us on Wednesday 19th August 4:00 – 16:00 at the Inovo Building, 121 George St, Glasgow G1 1RD.
This workshop is aimed at community organisations, charities, support services, faith groups and other local partners who work closely with these communities.
We’ll share details of the project, discuss opportunities for involvement, and explore community-led approaches to reaching and supporting participants who could benefit from taking part.
Your insights will help shape how the programme is delivered locally and ensure it is accessible, relevant and inclusive.
Please see the DHI website for more information and how to sign up.
