On Tuesday 28 May, the ALLIANCE, in partnership with the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) Scotland, held the first in a series of Integration in Action events looking at the factors that contribute to integration, examples of good practice and the future of integration. The event explored the Academy’s Five Ambitions for the Future of Health and Social Care, which are:
- Be Human
- Lead Courageously
- Share Power
- Reimagine Investment
- Measure Outcomes
In a series of ‘lightning presentations’, five speakers from different organisations shared examples of the Ambitions in action and how they have, or can, contribute to successful integration. These presentations showcased what is currently happening within the health and social care landscape and how that has had a significant impact on the progression of integration.
To further explore the Ambitions, we will be taking forward a series of Integration in Action events to delve deeper into each of the Ambitions, gather further insights, share learning, and highlight the Ambitions in action from different perspectives.
The focus for this event will be on Be Human – we are all human and should be treated with dignity. Everyone can thrive if our rights are protected, defended, and promoted. The right to health is interconnected with the realisation of other rights, like the right to housing, education, Fair Work, independent living, and a healthy environment.
At this online event, we will share examples of the Ambitions in action and how they have contributed to successful integration. We will then look to the future, sharing knowledge and ideas about how we can work together to support integrated health and social care.
The event will take place on Zoom, Wednesday 18 September 2024, 10 am to 12 pm. A range of speakers from across Health and Social Care will give a series of presentations focused on the key learning and what is happening now that has had a significant impact on integration, followed by Q&A session.
