Find out how a small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference, and start that conversation.

On 4 February 2021 is the fourth Time to Talk day in Scotland and the theme for this year is The Power Of Small. A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference and it’s something we can all do.

We had a conversation with Tom Scott, Health and Social Care Improvement Advisor at See Me, and Chik Duncan, a lived experience volunteer with See Me, around what Time to Talk day is and the benefit of starting small conversations with the people around you. Listen to this conversation on mental health on YouTube (this link will take you away from our website).

It has never been more important for us all to talk about mental health and challenge stigma. See Me is encouraging everyone to have more conversations, to help break down barriers surrounding myths, and to help end the isolation, shame, and worthlessness that too many of us with mental health problems are made to feel.

Visit See Me Scotland’s website to take a look at our resources and activity packs and start-up mental health conversations with friends, neighbours, family, and colleagues (this link will take you away from our website).
