Carla MacEwan, Chief Exec of Ayrshire Hospice discusses the organisations' commitment to its community and residents.
Ayrshire Hospice has lived long in the mind of the areas local residents as the building on Racecourse Road. Newly in-post Chief Executive Carla MacEwan is hoping to switch that perception to one where the organisation works with resident’s and communities across Ayrshire, in every corner that its services are required.
In the latest ALLIANCE Live interview, Irene Oldfather – Director of Strategy and Engagement at the ALLIANCE speaks with Carla about making the move from Australia back to her birthplace to take up the position leading the Hospice.
Other topics covered in the conversation include highlighting the steadfast commitment of the Hospice to continue to provide individuals with the dignity and care to live well during the pandemic. Carla also discusses her ambition for the Hospice the lead the way in Ayrshire in Compassionate Communities approach, providing a holistic, More Than Medicine approach to anyone accessing their services including their carers and families.
