Moray Wellbeing Hub, integration and community response to COVID-19
In this ALLIANCE Live interview, Director of Moray Wellbeing Hub, Heidi Tweedie, sat down with the ALLIANCE’s Will Griffiths for an interview about the impact of the community’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the integration process in Moray and her hopes for the future.

Children and COVID-19
Ian Welsh, the ALLIANCE’s Chief Executive, talks to Sallyann Kelly, Chief Executive of Aberlour (this link will take you away from our website) and Morgan Ross, a young relief youth worker at Aberlour.
This ALLIANCE Live interview talks about the work Aberlour do for children and families in Scotland, and how COVID-19 is affecting children in poverty. Morgan Ross provides insight into what it’s like growing up with support from Aberlour, and what her position within Aberlour entails now and how different her life could be if it wasn’t for Aberlour.

Mental health on the frontline with Grant Archibald, Chief Exec of NHS Tayside
The uncertainty, isolation, and risk posed by the COVID-19 pandemic affects the mental health of many people – but for those on the frontline, all of those feelings can be heightened. In this podcast, ALLIANCE Director Irene Oldfather joins NHS Tayside Chief Executive, Grant Archibald to discuss the COVID-19 response and experience on the frontline and what learning can be taken away so far.

In conversation with Professor Jason Leitch for Carers Week 2020
There are approximately 759,000 unpaid adult carers in Scotland – many of whom were isolated far before the lockdown and for whom the COVID-19 pandemic has only exasbutratted challenges and uncertainty.
In this podcast, ALLIANCE Director Irene Oldfather is joined by Scotland’s National Clinical Director, Professor Jason Leitch to discuss the impact of the pandemic on carers and what this may mean in informing long-term priorities for the rights of unpaid carers.

Managing your wellbeing through gardening – Wellbeing Wednesday
In this week’s Wellbeing Wednesday, Tessa Darley, founder of wannabesmallholders shares some easy tips for growing your own herbs and salad in a small space. Connecting with nature can have a really positive effect on mental health, and this video shows you how you can do this with only some seeds, compost, a repurposed cardboard tube and water.

Train the Trainer
Tuesday 16 June 2020 from 10.30-12pm
Ronnie Hill from the ALLIANCE will provide a train-the-trainer seminar on the GIRFEC approach. The purpose of this workshop is to enable a broad range of practitioners from the third sector to deliver information workshops for children and young people or parents and carers to inform them about GIRFEC and what it means for them; to bring GIRFEC to life, to make it real for them.
All members networking events will be conducted via Zoom. You do not need to have a Zoom account or to have downloaded the app to be able to take part. All details to join will be sent in advance.
