ALLIANCE Live interview with Head of BHF Scotland James Jopling, discussing the organisation's impact on heart and circulatory disease.
The British Heart Foundation is 60 years old this year and during that time society has seen enormous progress in terms of research and healthcare with regards to heart and circulatory disease. In this latest ALLIANCE Live interview, Head of British Heart Foundation Scotland, James Jopling speaks to ALLIANCE Director of Policy and Communications Lucy Mulvagh on the part of his organisation in making an impact towards improving the lives of people with heart and circulatory conditions.
Whilst acknowledging the strides that have been made, listeners are also reminded of the immense cost that these conditions carry both within our personal lives but also for society. During the conversation listeners can also expect to hear about the burden COVID has placed on a major national charity and the leadership challenge that James encountered by joining the organisation at the beginning of the pandemic. James also expresses his thoughts on the Scottish Government’s new Heart Disease Action Plan and why a new strategy is needed for Scotland.
