A call to share stories from people with long term conditions, disabled people and unpaid carers on COVID-19
COVID-19 has impacted upon almost every part of our lives. Many of us have been asked to stay at home and practice social distancing to help us stay safe and play our part during these difficult times.
We are all experiencing this in different ways. But for people with long term conditions, disabled people and unpaid carers there are specific challenges. We want to put a focus on the issues people are facing by sharing stories as part of our #HumansOfScotland series.
In telling stories we educate, inspire and connect and perhaps now more than ever this is an important response to the times we are living in. We want to hear about how people living with long term conditions, disabled people and those providing paid and unpaid care are keeping well while at home. What are you doing to maintain your mental health and well-being? What is working for you that could work for others? What particular challenges are you facing?
Your story will be shared on the ALLIANCE’s social media channels and will appear in our e-bulletin. Stories are ‘snapshots’ of life and should be written in 350-400 words. For more information on how to get involved, or to submit your story, email Humans@alliance-scotland.org.uk
