Publication of visual resource in support of the Scottish Government's Women's Health Plan
Maintaining good health and optimising health in the long-term is important for us all.
There are many things we can all do to support our long-term health at any age which will help prevent some health concerns in later life, and help us to live healthy, happy lives for longer. We know that aging can bring with it more complex health needs for women, but sometimes there can still remain stigma and embarrassment, or lack of awareness, around certain common experiences.
To share information on how to prioritise maintaining good health and optimising health in the long-term , the ALLIANCE and the Scottish Government have produced a visual resource as part of the work the ALLIANCE is delivering to support the Women’s Health Plan.
This publication brings together four graphic resources that were produced to summarise content from webinars on women’s health, hosted by the ALLIANCE and Scottish Government. The graphics present central points raised by panellists, as well as key themes identified by audiences.
In this resource you will find graphics related to:
- Pelvic health
- Bowel health
- Heart health
- Healthy aging
You can download a digital version of the resource here.
Print resources are available on request. Should you be interested in using the resource in print, whether than be alone or with a group, then please email whp@alliance-scotland.org.uk
The graphics were created by Clare Mills of Listen Think Draw.
This visual resource is part of a series. You can also download our visual resources on menopause and menstrual health.
Note
This publication uses the term woman/women throughout but it is important to highlight that it is not only those who identify as women who require access to women’s health services. All healthcare services should be respectful and responsive to individual needs. Everyone has the right to health, and to live well with dignity and respect. This resource is for anyone who has an interest.
