The academic study is seeking participants who have had experience of mental health tribunals in Scotland
Academics at Edinburgh Napier University and Queen’s University Belfast are currently running a study into the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland. The research is aiming to find out whether the Tribunal’s practices are in line with human rights standards and the principles of the Mental Health Act.
In particular, they are currently hoping to recruit participants who have experienced a mental health tribunal, or who have been named persons for someone with a mental health problem.
The team running the study have provided the following resources for anyone who might wish to participate:
- Recruitment flyer (this link will take you away from our website)
- Information sheet for patients (this link will take you away from our website)

Anyone who is interested in participating in the study, or has any further questions, can email the team at CMHCL@napier.ac.uk.
