What is our Children and Young People programme?
Delivering the outcomes of Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) whilst also linking to a range of other children’s policy and practice
The programme aims to raise awareness of ongoing developments in the children’s policy agenda in Scotland, and specifically matters that have an impact on disabled children and young people’s lives, those living with long term conditions, and their families and carers.
One of our key areas of remit is to deliver the outcomes of our Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) programme. Please visit the GIRFEC page on our website for more information.
Other work that the programme is involved in includes, but is not limited to: the United Nations Convention on Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Incorporation Bill (Scotland), impact of the of National Care Service (NCS) on children’s services, transitions to adulthood, child protection, childhood poverty, and childcare policy. We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with others on these and other relevant matters. To get in touch and find out more please contact Marianne Tyler, Senior Development Officer by emailing GIRFEC@alliance-scotland.org.uk
