Scottish Sensory Hub: ensuring accessible information

The Scottish Sensory Hub re-release reports from deafscotland to assist those involved in planning services and change management.
Hearing loss affects communication and language accessibility. Including hearing loss accessibility is a critical component of a Human Rights approach and must be given equal consideration.
How can we ensure people are involved in their own care plans or community plans if information is not readily accessible? It is clear, therefore, that communication and language support, needs to be tailored to suit the individual in order to realise a comprehensive Human Rights approach.
In light of this, deafscotland have re-released reports covering:
Prevalence rates for those with dual sensory loss and dementia in Scotland,
Deafness: Predicting the future for Scotland,
Mental health and deafness in Scotland.
