Explore children’s rights and AI, hear learning from key organisations, and connect with others through discussion, networking and updates.
Join the ALLIANCE’s Children and Young People Community of Practice for a 1.5-hour online session exploring the opportunities and challenges around children’s rights and artificial intelligence (AI)
Hear from speakers from the ALLIANCE Digital Health and Care Team, Children’s Parliament and Young Women’s Movement, who will share their learning, experiences and work exploring AI and its impact on children and young people. The session will provide an opportunity to consider how we can ensure children and young people’s rights, voices and experiences are at the heart of conversations around AI.
- The Digital Health and Care Team at the ALLIANCE aims to support transformational change in health and social care by exploring digital and innovative technologies and ways of working.
- The Young Women’s Movement are Scotland’s national organisation for young women’s leadership and rights. Their ‘Young Women Lead AI’ programme explored AI’s role in exacerbating tech-facilitated violence against women and girls and was shortlisted for a National Youth Work Award. Programmes Coordinator, Sarah, will share with you the history of the project, some key findings, and the demands the young women called for. You can access their online Guide to AI here.
There will also be time for networking, discussion and member updates, providing space to share learning, ask questions and connect with others working to improve outcomes for children and young people..
The session is open to members of the Children and Young People Community of Practice and will take place online. To register your space, please email the ALLIANCE Children and Young People Team at GIRFEC@alliance-scotland.org.uk
