Guide from the Human Rights Consortium Scotland to help organisations response to the Scottish Government consultation on incorporation.
Scottish Government are consulting on proposals for a Human Rights Bill for Scotland. The Human Rights Consortium Scotland (HRCS) have produced a guide to help organisations preparing their own consultation responses.
You can access the HRCS guide at the link below. It sets out three things, as follows.
- What the questions are all about: HRCS have attempted to pick out from the text the definite details of what the Scottish Government is proposing so that this can be clearer. However, it should all be seen in the light of the Scottish Government still being in fairly early stages of Bill development
and wanting views on each part of it. - Some things to think about: Every organisation is different and works with and for different people, communities and on different issues. HRCS have included some suggestions of experience or views that might be – or might not be! – relevant to other organisation’s response.
- The HRCS response: HRCS have still to write their own full response to the Scottish Government consultation. However, they have included most of the key points in this Guide that we will be including in their final response.
