Coronavirus (COVID-19) update for ALLIANCE members and network
- Area of Work: The ALLIANCE
- Type: News Item
- Published: 25th March 2020

A message to our members and network about ALLIANCE operations, contact details and some useful external information sources.
The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) staff are working remotely in line with government guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and adapting how we work to ensure we can collaborate and engage effectively with our members and those we support during this period.
We are working with third sector and community organisations across Scotland to ensure people are supported during this unprecedented public health challenge. Our approach in the coming months will be to share what we think will be most relevant and useful to people who are disabled or living with long term conditions, and unpaid carers, while being mindful of the immense pressure many people and much of the third sector will be under at this time.
On 12 March 2020 the ALLIANCE issued a Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19). On 23 March 2020 we issued a policy briefing about the Coronavirus Bill. On 16 March 2020 an update was issued for all Self Management funded projects.
Events
Some of our plans have changed, including postponement and/or cancellation of planned events. Information will regularly be updated on the events page and will announce new dates for rescheduled events as soon as it is safe to do so.
The ALLIANCE are looking at alternative ways of keeping connected via online events, webinars and members’ virtual networking. If you have suggestions as to how we can support and engage our community please get in touch.
