Scottish Government has published its 2025 – 2026 delivery plan for the Digital Health and Care Strategy.

The Care in the Digital Age: delivery plan 2025 to 2026 includes several ambitious plans for the next year:

· NHS Inform – a review and redesign of the platform. The first phase involved user engagement, and the second will begin this year.

· First phase of Digital Front Door – the digital platform that will allow people to access health care information and book appointments all in one place. The first phase will involve a pilot in NHS Lanarkshire with dermatology outpatients.

· Scale up the Connect Me programme – the remote health monitoring service which allows you to manage your health at home (e.g. by taking blood pressure readings) instead of visiting a health care professional in person.

· First phase of Digital Health and Care Record – this will allow people more access to their health and care records. The aim is to ensure that the approach is consistent across Scotland.

The Strategy ‘Enabling, Connecting and Empowering: Care in the Digital Age’ was published in 2021 and aims to deliver ‘the right care, in the right place, at the right time’.
