New ALLIANCE report brings together Future of Social Care opinion pieces, reflecting on the National Care Service consultation

Amongst the 53 recommendations in the Independent Review of Adult Social Care (Feeley Review) was to create a National Care Service (NCS), on an equal footing to the existing National Health Service.

A future National Care Service – and the Scottish Government’s proposals for what this will include – could bring about significant change within Scotland’s health and social care sectors. Recognising the expert knowledge and experience  of our members, over the consultation period the ALLIANCE invited organisations to share their views within an opinion series titled, Future of Social Care.

Each piece has been collected in this publication to add detail and momentum to the ALLIANCE’s consultation response. They serve as an excellent starting point for putting people at the centre.
