Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector launch a new Glasgow Gambling Harms Fund.

Significant harm can be experienced from gambling and can have a huge impact on an individual’s mental and physical health, relationships, and finance. In the worst instances it can lead to suicide. Gambling harms can also be experienced by an individual’s children, partners, wider families, friends, employers, communities and society as a whole.

This new community-based fund can provide small grants of between £500 – £3000 to support local people, communities and services at any stage of tackling gambling harms. This can include delivering workshops and training to increase awareness and understanding; for people in the community or for frontline staff/ volunteers. See this link for more ideas.

To support anyone interested in applying, GCVS are holding 2 online information sessions on zoom on the following dates.

  • Thursday 8 September 10am – 11am
  • Tuesday 13 September 2.30pm – 3.30pm
