A national charity looking for local people and projects that are building connection in Glasgow.
The Cares Family is a national charity that for over a decade, has been working with partners to build initiatives to bring people together across backgrounds, generations and experiences in rapidly changing communities across the UK. Based on that experience, the charity has learned that it’s local leaders who are best placed to respond to the challenges in their communities, not top-down policymakers.
The Cares Family are inviting local people to join The Multiplier–a national leadership programme that brings together a diverse group of change-makers to take part in a nine-month journey designed to increase their confidence and capability in building more socially connected communities.
The organisation is looking for local community leaders in Glasgow who have a locally run and community-led project that is at least six months old, and who need support to deepen and grow the impact of their project. In return we will support change makers to develop their skills in fundraising, storytelling, coalition-building, and more through specially designed workshops, peer support, mentoring, connection to a like-minded network of other community leaders and an unrestricted grant to support their work.
Applications for the 2023 cohort open on the 9th of January and close at midnight on 5th of February.
