This framework is designed to support the development of digital capabilities for everyone working in health and social care in Scotland.

Scottish Government have have launched the new Digital and Data Capability Framework, designed to support the development of digital capabilities for everyone working in health and social care in Scotland. The new Framework supports their commitment to improving the digital capabilities of everyone as detailed in their updated Delivery Plan. It has been developed by NHS Education for Scotland on behalf of Scottish Government and COSLA.

The framework applies to the entire health and social care workforce in Scotland – NHS, Local Authorities, Health and Social Care Partnerships, Social Work, Social Care, Care and Support Providers, Housing, Third and Independent Sectors – including managers, leaders and those in strategic positions.

The framework identifies the digital skills, knowledge and behaviours the workforce needs to do their jobs and deliver safe and good quality care and support. The Scottish Government are also actively seeking feedback on the framework, via a form on the site.
