A new initiative aims to create an app that enhances long-term outcomes for people with conditions such as dementia or heart disease.

A new co-design initiative is underway to develop an innovative health app, aimed at improving long-term health outcomes for those managing chronic conditions, interested in brain health, or affected by dementia.

This project, led by Red Star and funded by the Chief Scientist’s Office through the Scottish Health Industry Partnership, is focused on creating a digital tool that truly addresses the needs of its users. Red Star is working closely with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to ensure that the app meets high standards of care and usability.

This initiative seeks to gather real-life insights from individuals who face long-term health challenges, such as heart failure, diabetes, or high blood pressure, as well as those concerned with brain health and dementia care. By involving the very people who will use the app, the project aims to build a solution that is both effective and user-friendly.

Red Star are primarily seeking people, or people caring for those affected by:

  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Dementia
  • Cognitive impairment

Participation in this co-design process allows you to directly influence the features and functionality of the app, ensuring it serves the community in meaningful ways. Whether you’re managing a long-term condition, interested in brain health, or supporting someone with dementia, your input is crucial.
