Social care organisations are encouraged to submit their first assessment by 30 September.
A number of social care organisations have registered to participate in the Scottish Government/COSLA Digital Maturity Assessment process.
Social care organisations are encouraged to submit their first assessment to the online portal, to meet the deadline of 30 September. This will enable Scottish Government to issue its first report on the state of digital maturity within the sector later this year. This report will enable discussions at a local, regional and national level.
This national report will also aim to:
- Inform the targeting of future support and investment at an organisational level.
- Embed better use of digital ways of working from the outset in service/business planning.
- Act as a catalyst for furthering health and social care integration and collaborative working.
- Promote involvement with carers, advocacy groups and the public through focusing discussion on how, when, and where digital opportunities exist.
- Identify gaps in knowledge, confidence, and access at all levels to facilitate better targeting of support at a national, regional and local level.
Each organisation that submits will have access to confidential data dashboards to support funding applications, contract monitoring and priority setting. This will enable them to:
- Analyse and track digital maturity across different aspects and parts of the organisation
- Determine and manage speed and direction of travel
- Inform strategy, budgeting and development priorities
- Understand and manage the organisation’s strength and weaknesses
